Day Trip To Imlil & The High Atlas From Marrakech

Day-by-Day Itinerary

1. Day 1 — Marrakech – Asni – Imlil and back

   Discover one of the valleys of the High Atlas. Asni valley offers a trip relatively unscathed from mass tourism. You will cross Tahanaout and green orchards on the way. You will visit a female cooperative producing argan oil before taking the mountain road to reach Asni and Imlil, at the foothills of Mount Toubkal, the highest peak of the High Atlas and North Africa ( 4,167). You will have tea with the locals and discover their lifestyle. Afterwards a 2 hour hike will take you through the Berber villages on the slopes of the Atlas and charming waterfalls of Imlil. Lunchbreak on the homestay terrace of an authentic Berber house with a breathtaking view. Tuesday and Saturday, you will discover authentic rural souks where you can participate yourself to purchase products for lunch. Return to Marrakech late in the afternoon.
