Dakhla (Arabic: الداخلة, formerly known as Villa Cisneros) is a unique Moroccan city located on a narrow peninsula along the Atlantic Ocean, in the Western Sahara region. Antecedentes históricos
- Founded by the Spanish in 1884 as part of Spanish Sahara and named Villa Cisneros.
- Dakhla became Moroccan after 1975 following the Madrid Accords and the Green March.
